Even during the great Patriotic war, the Soviet Union had ceased to trade with other countries – war is war, and to replenish the state Treasury and to somehow keep the economy afloat is still needed. Exports were precious metals, forest products industry, building materials and tobacco, which the USSR gladly buy USA, UK and Iran. However, delivery was not only on the West, the allies, and East to Japan, which fought on the side of Nazi Germany.

History knows many young heroes who took part in the great Patriotic war. One of these was Arkady Kamanin, who began his service in the red Army at the age of 14 years.

The peak of Stalin's repressions came in 1937 (shot 353 047) and 1938 (destroyed 328 681 people). From the archival data it is clear that then the number of executions is declining: in 1939 - 2552 person, in 1940 - 1694, 1950-m - 1609 people. 60% of the deaths were from Moscow, where after an interrogation and short stints in prison on Lubyanka square "Troika" carried out the sentence.

"General frost" has helped the Russian to win victories in the two world wars. Such a cliche often seen in Western historiography. Is it for Russian weather in 1812 and in 1941 was different than the French and the Germans?

According to the "accepted" version of history, the colonization of Alaska by Russian people began in the second half of the XVIII century. However, there is evidence that these same "settlers" was found in Alaska with the descendants of Russians who settled on the Peninsula centuries earlier.
