“January 30, 2024, the deserved trainer of the USSR on judo, the legendary athlete Boris Mischenko. The death of Mishchenko – a heavy loss, but the bright memory of him will forever remain in the hearts of relatives and friends of the people”, – noted in a press-service of Federation of judo of Russia.

So, three times he became the winner of European Championships in judo and twice champion of the USSR on Sambo. Showed good results as a coach the country’s Olympic team in judo at the Games in Moscow in 1980. Brought talented athletes CSKA in judo.

Boris Mishchenko was born on 21 June 1936. Built an outstanding career as a wrestler and judoka, has the title of master of sports of the USSR of the international class on judo and the deserved trainer of the USSR.

Morozov was awarded the medal of Honor, marks of “excellence in physical culture and sports” and “For merits in development of the Paralympic movement in Russia” and others. His achievements were acknowledged by the President of Russia.
