Russia’s Central Bank warned about the methods of fraud in terms of the spread of coronavirus infection.

the Attackers offer to go to phishing sites. They counterfeited brand names and style of well-known organizations to find out credit card data and other personal data, the report said.

the press service of the Central Bank told about the calls in which scammers offering different services associated with coronavirus pandemic and its consequences. So, the attackers promise a loan “holiday”, compensation for unused tickets and other benefits. In addition, scammers may offer to volunteer and diagnostic services.

Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Dmitry Skobelkin said that the Agency continues to track the counts of fraud.

“We assume that the virus may be exploited by attackers for the duration of a pandemic, it does not exclude the emergence of new methods of introduction of citizens in error. We continue to monitor the situation and are in constant contact with banks and other financial institutions”, – said the Skobelkin.

the Bank of Russia urged Russians under any circumstances, not to disclose and not to enter unknown websites credit card information and passwords, SMS messages.

Previously, the Muscovites spoke about the collision cases with the different criminals who pretended to be disinfectants and offered to hold individual cleaning of the apartment.

Roskomnadzor has warned citizens about the possibility of receiving fake letters in which the alleged operators are asked to submit a notification of processing of personal data. The Ministry said that Roskomnadzor should receive notifications from the operators to the beginning of the processing of personal data.
