Quests and master classes will be held in parks and ecocentres Moscow

Master classes and quests in honor of the world day of wetlands will be held in the capital’s parks and ecocentres from 1 to 10 February, said the press service of the Department of natural resources and environmental protection of Moscow.

“On natural areas of Moscow HPBW “Mospeada” of the complex of municipal economy will hold events on the theme of wetlands. This thematic lessons, master classes, quests, designed for different age groups”, – reported in a press-service of the Deputy head Mospeada Faith Strukova.

Representatives of the press service also stressed that the aim of environmental education and environmental activities is drawing the attention of the world community on the value and preservation of unique natural areas.

on 2 February 1971 in Ramsar, among 18 countries signed the Convention on wetlands having international importance especially as habitats for waterfowl. This day was declared as world day of wetlands.

Earlier, the Ministry of natural resources told about the cleaning of rivers and lakes in the framework of the national project “Ecology”. So, it was restored 34.4 kilometer of water bodies of the Lower Volga. The restored area of lakes and reservoirs in different regions of Russia was 3.17 thousands of hectares, rivers 215,7 hectare. Were also carried out ecological rehabilitation of the Voronezh river in Lipetsk region and the river Bathhouse on the territory of the city district of Krasnogorsk in the Moscow region.
