At the beginning of the XIX century in the mountains, in the village of Barzavu (Azerbaijan) appeared on the new Talysh. It was Farzali Shirali oglu Muslimov. Shirali Muslimov was born on 26 Mar 1805. These day, month, and most importantly, the company was listed in the passport of the future centenarian. However, birth certificates have never been Muslimova. Some of the inhabitants of the mountains, recorded the birth dates of their children on the family pages of the Koran, others did it on clay pots, which, after buried in the soil. Prolific living

Muslim all his life has lived in the same place and was born in Barzavu. More than 150 years, he worked as a shepherd (the shepherd). Generally grandfather Shirali almost to the last of his days never sat idle. He took care of the garden along with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. But apparently, Muslimova this was not enough. 136-year-old shepherd entered into another marriage. His choice was a woman who was younger than the husband at 79 years old. She was 57. Moreover, the couple soon had a daughter. Therefore, if we assume that the age Shirali is true, then, in addition to longevity, it still is the oldest father on the planet.

Shirali Muslimov died September 2, 1973. However, he still managed to become not only local but also international celebrity. Muslimov came to congratulate with a particular holiday, party leaders, journalists wrote about it the article, was invited on television, made films.

during all 168 Shirali Muslimov never drank alcohol and did not smoke. He ate honey, cheese, various fruits and vegetables, drank water from a spring and special herbal teas. On duty, he walked with his herd of a dozen or two kilometers. And so from day to day, from year to year. Probably, the main secret of his longevity Muslimov considered work. “We have to work always, idleness begets laziness, laziness begets death,” he said. However on a direct question about the secret of long life Shirali always answered honestly: “No idea.”
