The court sought more than 700 thousand rubles from the Moscow art theatre named after Maxim Gorky in favor of the actors

the Presnensky court of Moscow partially satisfied the claim of the artists of the Moscow art theatre named after Maxim Gorky. The defendant acted as artistic Director of the troupe Eduard Boyakov, reports the Agency “Moscow”.

“the Court ordered the Moscow art theatre named after Maxim Gorky in favor of the eight plaintiffs more than 700 thousand rubles,” – said in court.

Conflict in the theater came after the artists were offered to move to another variant of the labour clearance – fixed-term employment contracts. Subsequently, they were deprived of a quarterly premium and was replaced in the performances.

Members of the troupe in response to the actions of the theatre filed a lawsuit. The theater said that some of the actors don’t get roles in connection with the decision of the Director that is motivated by the creative process.
