the Speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin has declared that on Tuesday, 31 March, the lower house of Parliament intends to adopt in the first reading and immediately a whole the law on criminal punishment for violation of the quarantine coronavirus. According to the bill, the punishment may be fined up to 2 million roubles and even imprisonment for the term up to seven years depending on the severity of the consequences of the acts.
According to Volodina, the draft law will be held “certainly, with observance of all procedures,” because the deputies have come by 10 am to “have the time”.
