Among the intelligence agencies of the major powers of the planet, representatives of local security services is one of the leading places in the world. The most difficult but at the same time most fruitful of steel 1920 -1930 years, code intelligence Soviet Russia, only rose to his feet. Among the geniuses of the intelligence of the time can be noted Dmitry Bystroletova, who later became a true legend of the Soviet secret police.

the Aristocrat intelligence

Among the illegal scouts working abroad in the first decades of the twentieth century, Dmitry Bystroletova considered a real aristocrat. Supposedly he was the illegitimate son of count Alexander Tolstoy, brother of the famous writer.

In April 1925 as a delegate of all-Union conference of proletarian students Dmitry visited Moscow, where he met one of the founders of Soviet intelligence Artuzov. Potential scout and his future boss immediately liked each other. Moreover, Dmitry knew perfectly several languages and could easily play the hero-lover, getting interested in the Soviet secret service information.

Prague: the practice of novice scout

in the Spring of 1927, Dmitry bystroletov received from the Center the first pon a truly serious task. He was commissioned to recruit an employee of the German Embassy in Prague, worked in a simple Stoker. Despite his working profession this man was very valuable, as is regularly involved German diplomats for the burning of confidential documents. Dmitri pretended to be having German roots immigrant from the Baltic States, and soon became the Stoker’s closest friend.

One day during a feast the Stoker complained to his new friend on the hard work for the destruction of secret documents that disgusting burn. Hard work

Over the years, a group of illegal spies under the leadership Bystroletova provided the Center ciphers the ministries of foreign Affairs of Austria, Switzerland, Finland, Turkey and even controlled the personal correspondence of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini.

In 1937, Dmitry Bystroletov on its own initiative, rashly returned to the USSR, to get a little rest from their intelligence activities and the constant change of faces. In 1938 Bystroletova arrested, charged with having ties with British intelligence. To freedom a former scout who had done so much for his country, was released only in 1954. The remaining years of his life he devoted to literary work.
