U.S. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo announced that the United States, as guardian of the NATO Treaty, today received the instrument of accession of the Republic of North Macedonia to the North Atlantic Alliance.
Thus, Macedonia has officially become the 30th member of NATO. Flag of Macedonia over the headquarters of NATO will be raised on March 30.
