Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov has expressed confidence in the security of Russian citizens, who are currently working in Turkey, reports TASS.

Earlier, the Russian Ambassador in this country, Alex erchov said he received threats in connection with the aggravation of the situation in Idlib. He remembered the situation in Aleppo, five years ago, and pointed to the tragic fate of Ambassador Andrey Karlov, who was killed.

“as for the situation with our Ambassador, around the head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Turkey, we have no doubt that the Turkish side will take all necessary measures to ensure the security of the Russian Ambassador,” – said Peskov.

he Also voiced hope that Ankara will support the representatives of Russian companies and foreign institutions that operate in Turkey.

Earlier, Peskov said that Russia plans to continue to adhere to the Russian-Turkish agreements reached in Sochi. At the same time, he noted that activity of terrorists in Idlib continues to persist, despite the fact that Turkey has taken on the responsibility to neutralize them.
