The military was transferred to work remotely due to the spread of COVID-19

In Russia, all employees of military registration and enlistment offices transferred to the remote mode. This was done to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, the Ministry of defense.

“All the employees of military commissariats are translated into remote mode”, – stated in the message.

the Ministry added that all the data you’ll need to learn exclusively in remote mode on the phone.

30 March, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the spring conscription for military service. It was expected that on 1 April, the armed forces will go 135 thousand soldiers.

Later, the Russian defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered that in 2024, the recruits will go to army later than usual because of the situation with coronavirus. It was reported that new recruits will report for duty no earlier than may 20.
