Director of policy analysis, Institute for social marketing Victor Poturalski suggested that the dismissal of the governors of Kamchatka, the Arkhangelsk region and the Komi Republic is connected with the criticism of coronavirus, reports IA “NSN”.

“My opinion is that this is due primarily to the situation with coronavirus. The decision was taken precisely on the basis that the regional government could not provide sufficient action to effectively protect the population from the spread of the virus,” – said the politician.

At the same time Poturalski did not give predictions about the other candidates for retirement in the current situation.

Over the past day the heads of three regions of Russia, filed a resignation. So, resigned the Governor of Kamchatka Vladimir Ilyukhin, head of the Komi Sergei Gaplikov and the Governor of the Arkhangelsk region Igor Orlov.

the acting Governor of the Kamchatka region before the inauguration of the new head of the region appointed Vladimir Solodov. Still, he led the government of Yakutia. On the successors of the other governors is not yet known.

Russia has so far registered 4 149 cases of coronavirus infection in 78 regions of the Russian Federation. During the day, recovered 46 people, 28 of them in Moscow. Total was discharged from hospital 281.
