In the first years after the collapse of the USSR Russia faced a major socio-economic crisis. It was especially difficult regions. The standard of living in the same region could be significantly higher than in the other.

Revolution and civil war gave the world not only idealists and romantics, but also those who used the confusion to their advantage. Spirited people seized power, ideals outweighed by greed, looting and revenge.

"Doctors ' plot" in 1953 – the name of the notorious criminal case against the famous doctors in the Soviet Union, 6 of whom were Jews. Doctors were accused of conspiracy against high-ranking officials of the CPSU and the murder of prominent party members. The reason for the start of the investigation were the events of 1948. Doctor Lydia Timashuk put to the Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU(b) Zhdanov, Andrei a diagnosis of "myocardial infarction". But "pressure" of the authorities not only had she prescribed the wrong treatment, but also rewrote the history of the disease – causing comrade Zhdanov died in a few days.

During the Second world war was created by Katusha, BAZUKA, T-34, which played a decisive role in the fighting. But most of the projects have remained on paper or as prototypes.

On the night of 29 June 1174 at his residence was brutally murdered Grand Duke Andrey Bogolyubsky. The tragedy, however, and with the name Duke has a number of historical controversies and mysteries that to this day remain unresolved.
