2015 at “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?”
Next Monday (June 15) RTL will show the second episode in its series “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire – The Million Winners” (8:15 p.m., also via TVNOW ), in which Leon Windscheid (31) correctly answered the million question. In an interview with the “Bild” newspaper , the “WWM” millionaire from 2015 and a doctor of psychology reveals what happened to his win.
“To get a million euros spilled over your head at the age of 26 is of course very lucky,” says Windscheid. “The most important thing was that this win took away the fear of starting my own business. I am very grateful for that. ”A year after winning, he had nothing in his account. “I invested the money in a house and the ‘MS Günther’,” explains Windscheid. In the “WWM” program, Windscheid had announced that it would buy a party ship that he would name after Günther Jauch. Jauch personally christened the ship in 2016.
If he sold both investments, he would be able to get the money back into the account, emphasizes the former “WWM” millionaire. “So it is better invested than if I had bought an expensive sports car or a watch. Then I would lose value and I don’t need these things. ”
He has not been the managing director of “MS Günther” for six months and is concentrating more on psychology, explains Windscheid. He is working on his two podcasts and a new book. When he performed at “WWM” he would do everything the same way again. He learned ten hours a day for three months and went on the show “with great ambition and a certain insanity”. “You just have to gamble at certain points, otherwise you won’t get ahead and never win the million.”
