Nicolas Cage is an American actor and film producer.
In Long Beach, California, Nicolas Cage, known as Nicholas Kim Coppola, was born. His father, an Italian-American and professor of literature, and his mother, a dancer and choreographer, divorced when Cage was 12 years old. Nevertheless, he had a good relationship with both parents in the following years. From an early age, he was interested in acting. As a teenager he took acting lessons and wrote his own screenplays.
