After the 20-year-old Benee first conquered TikTok with her catchy tune “Supalonely” and then also number 1 on the Airplay charts in Germany, things are now going to continue in the USA: There, Benee performed last night in the legendary Late Night Show by Jimmy Fallon on.
But not only in Fallon’s famous show, the song was also extremely well received worldwide. The music magazine “Rolling Stone” described “Supalonely” as the perfect alt-pop quarantine anthem.
From the province to the top
Benee released a quieter version of the hit single under the name “Lownely”. Benee grew up in the New Zealand suburb of Auckland.
In 2018 she celebrated her first big success with the single “Soaked”. The single reached number 14 on the New Zealand single charts. Last year, the newcomer released two EPs: “Fire on Marzz” and “Stella & Steve” – a mix of indie pop and RnB.

Since then she has been honored with the New Zealand Music Award 2019 and won in four different categories: Single of the Year, Best Solo Artist, Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Best Pop Artist.
Most recently, Benee was also nominated for a Grammy.
