Yesterday, less than 2,000 infections were reported, and the number of deaths also fell to 112. The new figures were eagerly awaited, will the new trend be confirmed? The RKI has now published the latest figures. 1785 new infected people, that means 143,457 infected people in Germany – the numbers remain below as far as new infections are concerned, but – one value is a little bit worrying, the infection rate, because it is increasing again.
Yesterday, the Chancellor warned against a new shutdown, the infection rate must remain below 1% (an infected person infects at most one other person), on Saturday the rate was 0.7%, Sunday 0.8% and yesterday 0, 9% – a rising curve! Hopefully just a snapshot and no need to worry!
