Sidney Hoffmann was born in Dortmund and grew up there. After primary school, he attended high school in his home town of Dortmund and graduated from high school. Already at the age of 16, he recognized his interest in everything technical, and was especially drawn to motorcycles. So Sidney Hoffmann gained his first experience with tuning with his new Suzuki Gamma motorcycle. Because he was very talented in this area, he also started to work on his friends’ vehicles. After graduating from high school, Sidney Hoffmann began studying mechanical engineering, but he did not finish it. He repaired old vehicles to finance his studies.
In 2007 Sidney Hoffmann founded the company Five Star Performance GmbH in his hometown Dortmund in collaboration with his partner Jean Pierre Kraemer. From 2009, Sidney Hoffmann and his partner were given their own documentary soap by the pilot DSF, which was broadcast by Focus TV, which they called Die PS-Profis – Mehr Power aus den Pott. The locations for the broadcasts were various business and workshop rooms of the joint workshop in Dortmund. In addition to the show Die PS-Profis, Sidney Hoffmann moderated the show Turbo – Das Automagazin with his partner Kraemer and also with Tim Schrick. In 2012 Sidney Hoffmann left the show Die PS-Profis for a short time to open his own workshop in Dortmund. Since then, Sidney Hoffmann has been the managing director of his Sidney Industries auto-tuning workshop, which was founded in Dortmund in 2012. Sidney Hoffmann has been moderating the magazine Mein neue Auto on Kabel Eins since September 2012. In addition to the striking points of his career that have already been mentioned, Sidney Hoffmann was able to win further points. This gave him the chance, together with his partner Kramer, to moderate the documentary soap 2 professionals for 4 bikes on Vox from 2014. The program revolves around finding the most suitable used car for customers. The buyer has the task of presenting the two moderators with their ideas of what used car it should be. The two moderators then go in search of a suitable model. They are accompanied by a camera.
One of Sidney Hoffmann’s greatest successes so far was his appearance, together with his partner Kraemer, at the 2015 Wok World Cup. Sidney Hoffmann also launched his YouTube channel Sidney Industries in 2012. This channel was a resounding success after a relatively short period of time and had around 200,000 subscribers in February 2018, while there were around 35,000,000 video views. Sidney Hoffmann’s videos deal with topics relating to the entire automotive sector and the modification of cars of all classes.
Sidney Hoffmann is more than successful with his company Sidney Industries. His crew now has several employees who take care of everything related to vehicle tuning. Sidney Hoffmann is still active on site, has an open ear for his customers and employees, or works on one or the other vehicle himself.
Sidney Hoffmann’s current TV appearances have been the PS Die Profis show since 2009 and the Mein neue Alter show since 2016.
