She pursues her passion – the music! She is in her element on her tour. Kerstin Ott is an impressive woman with a lot of authenticity. According to her, all of her songs have one thing in common: the songs are her outlet to process her experiences and to become clear about certain things.
Kerstin Ott was born in West Berlin and has lived in Heide, a city in Schleswig-Holstein, since childhood. In her childhood she sang in a choir by Rolf Zuckowski and took part in talent competitions. As a hobby musician, she already wrote the song “The Always Laughs” with which Kerstin Ott had her breakthrough around the year 2005. According to them, the song was created within five minutes for a friend who was ill at the time. At that time, Kerstin Ott gave away some CDs he had burned himself. One of the recipients put the song online and years later Stereoact discovered it and released it as a remix on Kontor Records.
In the original version of the song, Kerstin Ott accompanied himself on a simple guitar, which is why it is assigned to the genre “Schlager”. It is different with the mix from Stereoact – it belongs to “Melodic / Deep House”.
