Since the family could not afford much and had to bring in more money, Gökçe dropped out of middle school at the age of 14. He started an apprenticeship as a butcher, which he did extensively: there was no vacation and Gökçe had to work 18 hours a day.

In 2009, Nusret Gökçe traveled to Argentina to expand his skills, perfect his meat cutting skills and gain more experience. There he initially worked at various cattle farms, butchers and in restaurants. He has also traveled to other countries: among other things, he visited the United States, where he was able to gain further experience as a cook and innkeeper.

In addition to his way of preparing meat, Gökçe is best known for his appearance. You can always see him in videos and photos with dark sunglasses and long black hair, which are tucked back as a neat ponytail. He also wears most skin-tight T-shirts in white, which disguise his well-toned body. Gökçe cuts meat extremely professionally and entertaining, throws acrobatically around with knives and finally sprinkles the salt in his own way: with his angled hand, he lets the salt patter down on his steak like a ramp on the steak.

In 2017 Nusret Gökçe got a guest role in the popular American series “Narcos”. In line with Gökçe’s Ganster image, the series is about the Colombian drug smuggler and drug dealer Pablo Escobar. On his Twitter account, Gökçe published a photo of himself with Pedro Pascal, who played the role of Pablo Escobar. Nusret Gökçe likes to appear in the media as a gangster. In addition to his meat preparation productions, Gökçe likes to share photos of himself on the social media channels, in which he stages himself based on the classics “Scarface” and “The Godfather” with a thick cigar and dark sunglasses.
