Willi Herren got out of the successful series “Lindenstrasse” after 170 episodes. Throughout the 1990s, he starred in other films and television series, including “Lola and Bilidikid”, “Alarm for Cobra 11” and “Tatort”. With each additional role, the fame of the former actor increased.

In addition, Willi Herren was involved in other TV projects such as “Celebrity Big Brother” in 2017 and “The Summer House of Stars” in 2019.
Aged in, Willi Herren has been trying out music business for several years. In addition, Herren opened his first club in his hometown of Cologne in 2018, which he christened “Trivoli Cologne”. His latest projects include developing the club into a successful hit disco.
Willi Herren achieved his breakthrough in acting with his role as Oliver “Olli” Klatt in the ARD series Lindenstrasse, which he played from 1992 to 2007. In 2012 and 2014, men from the German series made further visits with short guest appearances.
From 2004 to 2019, numerous songs followed, with which Herren honed his musical career. Willi Herren achieved his success in the music industry in 2010 when he performed and published his cover version of “I was never in New York” by Udo Jürgens. After a short time, Herren was able to assert himself in the disco landscape as a singer and entertainer. From 2009 to 2011 Willi Herren released the albums “Greatest Hits”, “Meine Besten” and “Lobet den Herren”.
Willi Herren received several awards for his musical performance. He was honored with Ballermann Awards in the categories “Best Party Act” in 2011 and “Best Cover Song” in 2013 and in the category “Live” in 2018.
“I was addicted to tablets for 20 years without knowing it.” With this statement, Willi Herren once publicly stated in an interview that he had to struggle with pills for a lifetime. The reason for this was that he wanted to suppress his self-doubts and worries, the pressure to succeed and his own fears for existence, as well as private problems such as love chaos and his father’s dementia. At the end of 2018, men were withdrawn to work on themselves and get rid of the addiction to tablets.
In the course of his life Willi Herren drew attention to himself with negative headlines.
The Cologne native is said to have openly admitted in the “Summer House of Stars”, a TV show in which he and his ex-wife Jasmin Herren participated, that he was often unfaithful in the past. At the time, however, his ex-wife was able to understand his missteps and forgive him.
What few people know about Willi Herren’s parents: his father was a boxer and his mother a prostitute. Although the former profession of his late mother was not a nice thought for him as a son, Herren is grateful that his mother went to buy. She did this to support her family financially.
Willi Herren was sentenced to six months’ suspended probation by the Cologne District Court on May 15, 2008, because he was caught driving several times without a driver’s license. A further suspended sentence and a blocking of the driver’s license came when the Cologne District Court shortly afterwards accused gentlemen of drunk driving and coercion. In 2010, Herren refused to pay for a taxi ride, which is why he was eventually arrested.
Despite his success and his presence on television and on stage, Willi Herren has accumulated debts of EUR 50,000 over the years. By participating in the celebrity Big Brother, Herren hoped to pay off his debts with a win. At the time, he still had to repay EUR 70,000. However, Willi Herren only finished third in the Celebrity Big Brother.
Despite all the hustle and bustle around him, Willi Herren has remained down to earth. So in 2007 he got involved with HeartKick e. V. in the Glückauf-Kampfbahn in Gelsenkirchen for seriously ill children by playing football in a show biz team.
